Why is it like that we all come so so concerned about our mental health only when a notable person has left the earth? Why is it like that we talk about it only after a incident has happened? If one is hurt physically if one is bleeding or his bones are broken then he seeks help but when he is down and broke mentally he dont find anyone . The mental injury is deep and must be dealt with absolute care. A simple talk with near and dear ones can help a lot. Depression, anxiety and the similar sort of things are like the pit. It's not the end there is always a way out. You can get over it. If you alone can't push yourself then seek help always. The real problem lies here that people are not ready to talk. Even nowadays if one is telling that he is low or not feeling good then one conclusion is drawn that he must have lost his mind and he is acting crazy. The mental problems do not see any age, sex it can happen to anyone anytime. Look around you there are people who need help you havea story to tell but they are not getting any kind ears!


What is mental health?

Before jumping on what is menatl health first understand what simply means. According to WHO "Health is a state of total wellbeing of the physical,mental and the social state and not merely the absence of any disease." So its pretty clear that health signifies all the physical,mental and social wellness in a being.All the three aspects are the pillars of the good health and if anyone is affected the then the other two remaining will also be affected for sure. The mental health is the state of the your mind. Your functioning of the mind. The mental is very very important and the underrated part of the health. Everyone is pretty concerened about it for sure yet not evry one wants to speak up or open up about it.
It is like the ice that is submerged under the water which is not visible but determines everything.


Why is mental health important?

Your mental or emotional health important as already mentioned above that its like the iceberg mostly submerged, invisible but determines the most of the thing.Here are point jotted down to give you an idea why exactly your mental health is important.

  • Mental health is important because it's vital part of your life and impacts your thought,behaviour,emotion.

  • Being healthy can promote your productivity and effectiveness in school, college,work.Being unhealthy is like a burden carrying which you can't walk too far. So let go of the burden and be healthy.

  • It affects your mood and realtionship with yourself and others too. Being mentally unhappy will inhibit your interaction with someone and your mood swings become very often.

  • Affects your physcial health:As mentioned above that the health includes the physical,mental and social health. If one's mental health ain't good then the person is more likely to eat less,sleep less or more this will affect the regular biological cycle. The spectrum is huge. It also might happen thathe is not interacting with people no regular talks with near and dear ones and this very thing will affect his social health.


How is mental health affected?

Assuming that you have got an idea about what is mental health now lets see what are teh factors which can affect your mental health.There are plenty of factors that can affect your mental health few of them are listed below as follows:

  • Saying ill to someone:If a person is judged by someone on whatsoever the reason may be that is not important. But the fact that he is being judged makes him feels low.

  • Failed expectations: Expectation is good and expecting anything from anyone is quite normal because it gives hope about something. But when that expectation is not fullfilled then it gives rise to disappointment and self doubts and so many other problems.

  • Academics: Education is important. Getting good marks is good and always desireable. But what if one doesn't? Students feel low and anxious and what fuels the fire is the comparision. When student A is compared with student B who has achieved higher marks it creates a self doubt that Student A is not good enough! You are perfect in your own way.

  • Comparision: Suppose you are scrolling through social media and checking out how others are doing in their life and how perfect there life is! Then there is a heavy chance you will feel low if you didn't make upto that point. The social media platforms portrays everuthing freaking thing its perfect way. In the best way possible. And you start chasing perfection instead of excellence. Stop comparing. It is a way of proving how inferior a person is in terms of achievement.

  • Ignorance: A feeling of ignorance or being left out it's like one is part of the group but no the part of the coversation. Being left out is a different kind of pain. When people contact you only when they need you aand the rest of the time they behave as if they don't even know you.


How to keep mental health good?

Talking about the most vtal and indeed the remedy part i.e how to keep the mental helath good?? You know how mental heath is important and how to keep it in a good state.

  • Cut short of the negative people: You will find people who will never miss a chance to let you down and demotivate you and always try to convince you why you should leave the work you are doing and why your business will fail or why you can't get good grades in your academics. They are everywhere! These type of vicious people will shook your very purpose and the self confidence you possess will turned to ashes. So move away from those people because their saying and negative preachings actually make a deep mark on your mind. Cut short!


  • Share: A problem shared is a problem halved. A very powerful and a meaningful proverb indeed! You should share your problems with someobody. Not everyone will judge you by your story. You have got someone to share. Be it your parent, siblings, family , friend anyone just share. The mental sickness is like iron. Nothing but its own rust can destroy itself so gather some strength and speak up there will be someone who aint gonna judge.Yet if you find that no one is listening to your pleas then read the next one.



  • Seek help from a doctor: They are professional. They are there to cure youdoesnt matter what problem you are facing. Clinical psychologist,psychatrist are all the ones from whom you can seek help.They will not judge you you can go them tell your problem. It helps pay a visit to them if you have suc problem.

  • Get some motivation: If you are having some problems like feeling anxious or sad because of your marks in academics or feeling low due to some other reason then you can get some motivation from external sources like watch some watch motivational video or read dome motivational blogs, listen to some motivation speeches.

  • Hangout with positive people: You become average of the five friends you hang around with! Choose your friends because wisely.If you are hanging out with someone who has no goal in life no higher vision then there is a higher chances you wont be able to reach where you want to even if you have higher potentials. Remember a plant needs light to grow and if you are surrounded with dark(low) then your plant can't even penetrate the ground. If you find that none of your friends are good enough then learn to be alone a LONE WOLF lead the pack do not be a part of it.
  • Learn more: There are different sources from where you can actually educate yourself with the mental health. You have internet,books,youtube,magazines,journals, speakers. It is very important that one educated himself about the mental wellbeing to prevent himself from falling in any depression or the sort of the same thing.

On concluison just try to be happy and help those who really need your help. Do not judge anyone and show some love and affection towards others.A small act of kindness can change someone's life.
